Foreign Language Placement Test

Description The Foreign Language Placement Test (FLPT) is an exam taken by University of Missouri students for placement in language classes (no credit is awarded until subsequent language classes are passed satisfactorily). FLPT is currently offered in Spanish, German and French. The FLPT is not timed; it is a multiple-choice adaptive computer based exam.
Eligibility Only University of Missouri students are eligible to take the FLPT. Students are not permitted to retake this exam.

Fees The current fee for the FLPT is $58.00.
Day of Test A valid photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.
Score Reports Students will obtain test scores immediately after completion of the test. Scores will be mailed to Admissions at MU in approximately 5 days.

Proctord ALEKS exam

Proctored ALEKS Exam

Description Students can take the Proctored ALEKS Exam in order to receive course credit for College Algebra (Math 1100). In particular, students who wish to place directly into Math 1300 (without a College Algebra exemption or prior course credit) are required to pass the Proctored ALEKS Exam.
Eligibility Please check with your advisor before taking the proctored ALEKS.  The proctored ALEKS is only for UMC students seeking credit for College Algebra.  See the Mathematics  Department's  placement website for more information.  The proctored ALEKS is only for students with fewer than 90 hours of college credit.  You must have no official record of previous enrollment in the course(s) in which credit is to be received to take this exam.

Fees The current fee for the proctored ALEKS  is $60.00, paid online via credit card or electronic check.
Day of Test A valid MU photo I.D. is required on the day of the test.  Two hours will be allowed for the exam.
Score Reports Proctored ALEKS results are given to the test taker and to the Admissions office.
